I use a person-centered approach when I meet with clients. The client leads the discussion to discover solution-focused goals. I will facilitate, while listening without judgment. My role in this process is to encourage and support you while guiding the therapeutic process without interrupting or interfering with the process of self-discovery.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (C.B.T) Practitioner
Cognitive behavioral therapy (C.B.T) is a common type of talk therapy. Sessions are structured with you attending a limited amount of sessions. C.B.T helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
Positive Psychology Practitioner
Positive Psychology promotes authentic happiness, happiness habits, resilience, positivity, and a growth mindset by finding joy, being present in whatever you are doing, and having a sense of belonging and purpose while accomplishing goals that uses your inner strengths to create flow. Through counseling and positive psychology, we will work together to reset your inner self.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is an action-oriented approach to help clients accept emotional responses by making the necessary changes in behavior. Mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (C.B.T) strategies, and goal-setting are used in ACT.
Meditation and Mindfulness
Mindfulness is an approach to train attention through awareness. Mindfulness practices combine meditation, body awareness, yoga and non-judgmental acceptance of oneself. It is beneficial to individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, and pain.
